This IT and consulting company based in western Switzerland employs around 10 people and supports its clients in IT projects strategy. The company aims to be a pioneer in holistic sustainability to strengthen partnerships and customer trust. The company has therefore set itself measurable, ambitious social and environmental sustainability targets for its own operations.

Goal 1

By 2030, we will reduce our tCO2eq emissions by 50% (Scope 1, 2 & 3) compared to 2023, with an annual reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of 8%.

Measures

  • Commit to the SME Climate Commitment initiative and support the UN Race to Zero campaign.
  • Carry out an ACTUAL analysis of the company's current greenhouse gas emissions in tCO2eq (Scope 1, 2 & 3) and prioritise the greatest impact levers. Create an action plan for decarbonisation with science-based targets in collaboration with the suppliers that account for the largest share of emissions.
  • Raise staff awareness annually about energy-saving opportunities through the internal Green IT measures catalogue in office and operational processes to increase energy efficiency. Appoint staff members to implement and monitor initiatives for energy-efficient conversion of company infrastructure.
  • Conduct a smart building analysis with a local provider to identify opportunities to optimise building management, space use and operating costs.

Goal 2

By 2024, we will reach an average gender ratio of 30% in all positions, with the goal of achieving parity by 2030.

Measures

  • Improve work-life balance for our staff in line with the  UND model, including flexible working hours and remote working options. Look into childcare support through financial subsidies or an in-house nursery.
  • Set up a mentoring programme where experienced female staff support younger women and industry newcomers with specific company projects.
  • Foster a corporate culture that actively supports diversity and equality through annual training sessions on gender diversity and inclusion.
  • Support at least one local initiative or network yearly that strengthens and promotes women in the IT sector.

Goal 3

By 2025, we will train 15 individuals outside the labor market on a voluntary basis in web design with a focus on eco-design*. *Eco-design is defined according to the ISO 14006:2020 Energy Management Systems standard, as well as the guidelines from SwissRecycle on materials and eco-design.

Measures

  • Identify suitable people through local partner organisations. Select objectively based on inclusive criteria.
  • Launch a mentoring programme with existing staff for skills transfer and staff development.
  • Train people from outside the IT sector to become web design specialists with eco-design skills.
  • Issue certificates for successful completion of the training programme and award at least two contracts in partnership with trained individuals.
