This IT company with around 10 employees had already addressed the issue of data protection due to external requirements. To incorporate sustainability holistically into the corporate strategy, the company has deliberately focused on upstream supply chain stages and raw materials.

Goal 1

Measures

  • Integrate recognition technology comprehensively across the entire customer base. Upgrade existing customers and standardise sales for new customers. Place special focus on data protection in sales talks. Hold annual check-in meetings with all clients including satisfaction surveys.
  • Raise external awareness of data protection at industry events, technology trade fairs and customer events or presentations. Demonstrate the company's solution and technology at educational institutions with IT training programmes and sales events to share knowledge.
  • Appoint data protection officers for each team to establish the charter for ethical data handling and regularly monitor compliance.

  • Support suppliers (financially and through staff with industry expertise or mentoring) in specific projects (for example meeting environmental standards in hardware manufacturing or improving working conditions in production facilities) to fulfil requirements.
