This architecture and engineering firm from western Switzerland with around 10 employees had already successfully implemented various measures in the areas of strategy and paperless office. Based on the management's values, the company decided to systematise its commitment to sustainability and set itself measurable targets. The subsequent analysis revealed the greatest potential in raising awareness of sustainability among customers and partners and in the commitment to resource-efficient construction.

Goal 1

Introduce internal control and documentation measures to ensure compliance with our ESG policy.

Measures

  • Integrate CO2 calculations in quotations and in selection procedures for suppliers and partners.
  • Increase the proportion of renewable and recycled materials.
  • Develop circular business models and build competences for working with recyclable materials.

Goal 2

By 2025, all our employees will complete at least one sustainability training course per year, which will include the implementation of strategies for socially and environmentally sustainable construction.

Measures

  • Revise the mission statement and values and align the purpose of the company with sustainability. Introduce a purpose-orientated management system. Convert the company into an AG (joint stock company) and gain shareholders who share our values.
  • Complete the Swiss Triple Impact programme and start the B Corp certification process.
  • Develop a training plan for all employees with relevant training courses to expand internal sustainability expertise (SNBS, BIM ready, EcoBau, KBOB), alternative materials and build up experience through corresponding pilot projects.
